Ecommerce grows 55% for coronavirus

E-commerce sales have grown by 55% since population confinement began due to the COVID-19 epidemic. The fall in sectors such as fashion and footwear (-69%) or pets (-22%) has been offset by growth in sales of sports (+ 191%), furniture (+ 135%), gardening (+ 130%) and pharmacy (+ 26%). These are data analyzed by Guillem Sanz, an expert in digital business, from a sample of 100 e-commerce, in which demand has been categorized and online supermarkets are excluded in the food category.

The closure of all shops except supermarkets, grocery stores, pharmacies and other essential services, has made the online channel the only way to access a growing variety of items that are becoming essential to support the quarantine at home.

Now more than ever it's time to invest in the internet, ask us for information on how to create your online store.
